Who we are
cbse1012.com (“we”, “us”) is a gamified practice application that helps CBSE Class 10 and 12 students prepare for board and unit tests. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we handle it.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We use this to create and identify your account.
- Learning data. Your class level, selected subjects, the questions you attempt, your answers, scores, streaks, and review schedule — so we can track your progress and personalise practice.
- Uploaded content. If you upload a syllabus or paper, we process its text/images to generate relevant practice.
How we use your information
- To provide the practice experience and save your progress.
- To personalise which chapters and questions you see next.
- To compute streaks, badges, and readiness.
- To secure accounts and prevent abuse.
Service providers
We share data only with providers that help us run the app:
- Google — sign-in (OAuth) and the Gemini AI models that generate and explain questions.
- Neon — our PostgreSQL database that stores your account and learning data.
- Microsoft Azure — secure storage for question images.
AI-generated content
Some questions and explanations are generated by AI. We send the relevant subject/chapter context (not your identity) to the AI provider to produce them.
Children's privacy
cbse1012.com is intended for school students. If you are under the age of 18 (or the age of majority where you live), please use the app with the involvement and consent of a parent, guardian, or school. Parents and guardians may contact us to review or delete a child’s data.
Data retention & your rights
We keep your data while your account is active. You may request a copy of your data, correction, or deletion at any time by emailing us. We will delete your account data on request, subject to legal retention requirements.
Security
We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, access controls, per-user data scoping) to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
